Early Saturday morning, 60 Trinity Fellowship members put on tool belts, grabbed paint brushes, and went to work on two Habitat for Humanity houses here in Amarillo. While one group began framing on a new construction at 1602 Terry, the others tackled a remodel job at 1533 N. Polk.
By the end of the day the workers totaled 140, and they had completely framed one house. The sheetrocking on the second house was 50% complete, the siding was 60% finished, and about 30% of the house was roofed.
On May 3 more volunteers from Trinity will be setting the trusses and decking the house on Terry, and another group will continue the painting, siding, sheetrocking and roofing on the N. Polk house.
