The building campaign will fund the hard costs of construction (Phase I) and the move-in expenses—such as equipment and furnishings—for the new facilities (Phase II). It is important that we expand and modernize the campus and support the continued growth and mission established over our 30-year history. The new facilities will give us a spacious 4,000-seat auditorium, as well as a large and fully equipped children’s area. In addition to a state-of-the-art youth commons, there will be an ample foyer area. The current facilities and parking will be upgraded. We will address security and safety concerns. The ability of people to feel connected here at church will be improved by the coffee shop, meeting places, and Christian bookstore. We will be able to serve our city by addressing a strong demand for a meeting place large enough for high school graduations and other community events. And finally, we will have enough space to spread out and continue to grow as God brings more and more families to Trinity Fellowship.
The estimated project expense is $42 million in building costs. The project cost will be funded through contributions from our congregation and the remainder through financing.
The key components of the building campaign include: (1) a new worship center (sanctuary), (2) a new youth commons, (3) a new foyer, (4) a new children’s ministry area, (5) improvements in the infrastructure, including security and utilities, (6) additional parking, and (7) additional improvements to the campus landscape.
In the spring of 2004 the Board of Elders envisioned a major capital campaign to significantly enlarge and improve our current facilities. Fundraising will continue concurrently with construction and well after we move in to our new facilities in the latter part of 2008. Construction began in summer 2005.
The funds for the building are being raised in two phases. Phase I Generations Campaign began in June 2004 and ran for three years ending in June 2007. Contributions during this time frame totaled $12 million. Phase II This is Your House Campaign launched in September 2007 and will run for two years. The fundraising goal for Phase II is $10 million. The remainder of the debt from construction costs will be bank financed.
With 8,000 active members, Trinity Fellowship is broadly supported. The vast majority
of the building campaign’s capital fund is provided by designated contributions from the
membership, which totaled $12 million to date, with a fundraising goal of $10 million pledged and received over the span of the next two years. Financing will be secured by Bank of the West. This will be paid at an accelerated rate as funds come in.

Yes. Trinity Fellowship is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and contributions are
tax-deductible for income, gift, and estate taxes.
Certainly. Checks should be made payable to “Trinity Fellowship” with “Building Fund”
in the memo field, and mailed to our offices at 5000 Hollywood Road, Amarillo, TX 79118.
In addition to cash gifts, there are several other methods of giving. The Trinity Fellowship Administration Office staff can help you tailor a gift that helps the building campaign and fulfills your long-term charitable and financial goals.
Cash Gifts
Cash, in the form of a credit card transaction or a personal, foundation or corporate check, is the most popular type of charitable gift that Trinity Fellowship receives. Cash contributions are tax-deductible for purposes of income tax. Give a cash gift by clicking here.
Automatic Contributions
You can also choose to contribute to the building fund automatically each month or on a quarterly schedule through a bank draft—in which your contribution is electronically debited from your checking account—or through a charge to your credit card. These funds are deposited directly into the building fund to be put to work immediately. To establish a recurring gift, call the Trinity Fellowship Business Office at 806-677-1005 between 8:30 and 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time for details.
Securities
Save on both income and capital gains taxes with a gift of securities to the Trinity Fellowship Building Fund. Transferring securities (stocks or bonds) to the Trinity Fellowship Building Fund allows you to make a gift and receive a charitable deduction equal to the full, fair market value of the securities. You pay no capital gains on your gift and neither does Trinity Fellowship. The best method of transferring these assets to Trinity Fellowship Building Fund is to contact your broker and electronically transfer the stock from your account to Trinity Fellowship. Avoid selling the assets and then making a gift of the proceeds, because this will trigger a capital gains liability for you. Be sure to consult your tax accountant for all specific tax advice.
Matching Gifts—Double Your Gift to Trinity Fellowship Building Fund
Many corporations agree to match the personal charitable donations of their employees with an equal or greater corporate contribution. Businesses also often match the charitable donations made by spouses or those who retired from the company. At no additional cost to you, your contribution can work twice as hard to help Trinity Fellowship with our capital campaign. To initiate a matching gift, complete your company’s matching gift form and send it along with your gift to Trinity Fellowship and be sure to designate your gift to the Building Fund. We will complete the form, certifying that Trinity Fellowship has received your gift and that we are eligible to receive matching gifts under your company’s guidelines; we then forward the form to your company. After verifying the eligibility of both the donor and Trinity Fellowship, the company sends a check to Trinity Fellowship with a designation to the Building Fund. Each corporate matching program has its own rules. You should check with your employer’s personnel department to see if your gift qualifies for a corporate match.
Yes. Gifts to Trinity Fellowship through your will are free of estate tax. A bequest to Trinity Fellowship can be a gift of a specific dollar amount, a specific piece of property, a percentage of an estate, or all or part of the residue of an estate. You can also name Trinity Fellowship as a contingent beneficiary if someone named in your will is no longer living at the time of your passing. A bequest to Trinity Fellowship is easy to arrange and can be made by including the following words in your will:
I give, devise, and bequeath to Trinity Fellowship, 5000 Hollywood Road, Amarillo, TX 79118 (insert amount of money, percentage of estate, or describe property) to be used for its building fund.
Any type of cash, securities, personal property or real estate can be given through a bequest. Trinity Fellowship can also be named beneficiary of assets which often pass outside a will, such as IRAs, pension plans, life insurance, or assets held in a trust. Be sure to consult with your financial advisor for specific advice regarding your personal financial planning.
For more information about the Trinity Fellowship wills, estate planning and bequests or other planned gifts including charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts, please call Trinity Fellowship Business Office at 806-677-1005 between 8:30 and 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time.
That’s easy. One hundred percent of the funds you designate for the Trinity Fellowship Building Fund go to the building fund.
